چکیده

AIM: To evaluate the retinochoroidal microvascular circulation and anatomical structure of diabetic non-diabetic patients with epiretinal membrane (ERM) help optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) compare them healthy control subjects. METHODS: In this prospective, cross-sectional study, a total 165 eyes were evaluated, including 50 ERM, 54 idiopathic ERM (iERM) patients, 61 controls. Macula disc was performed by OCT-A. Macular vessel density (VD) ratio evaluated dividing VD foveal region parafoveal region. Statistical calculations at 95% confidence interval. RESULTS: superficial values cases lower than that in group, while higher cases. deep all quadrants, except fovea. The width avascular zone (FAZ) area significantly groups, FAZ lowest iERM group. but there no significant difference between groups. group CONCLUSION: Diabetic ERMs differ their mechanism formation clinical presentation, as well effect on retinal vascular structures. If relationship increase thickness integrity can be demonstrated OCT-A, then, OCT-A used guide for prognosis.

Indocyanine green-assisted epiretinal membrane peeling evaluated by optical coherence tomography and multifocal electroretinography

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the anatomical and functional outcome in eyes with indocyanine green (ICG)-assisted idiopathic epiretinal membrane (ERM) peeling by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and multifocal electroretinogram (MFERG). DESIGN Prospective, interventional, noncomparative case series. METHODS Twenty eyes of 20 patients with idiopathic ERM underwent pars plana vitrectomy and ICG-ass...

Fractal Dimensional Analysis of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Eyes With Diabetic Retinopathy.

Purpose We used fractal dimensional analysis to analyze retinal vascular disease burden in eyes with diabetic retinopathy using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). Methods A retrospective study was performed of 13 eyes with diabetic retinopathy without diabetic macular edema and 56 control eyes. Optical coherence tomography angiography images were acquired using t...

Epiretinal membrane removal in diabetic eyes: comparison of viscodissection with conventional methods of membrane peeling.

AIMS To compare conventional methods of epiretinal membrane peeling with viscodissection. METHODS 154 eyes with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) that underwent pars plana vitrectomy with membrane dissection (89 traditional, 65 viscodissection) were studied retrospectively. Incidence of retinal breaks (RBs), length of time under anaesthesia, postoperative intraocular pressure, retinal ...

Evolution of idiopathic epiretinal membrane studied by optical coherence tomography.

PURPOSE To study the evolution of idiopathic epiretinal membrane (IERM) as examined by optical coherence tomography (OCT) in the 1-mm-diameter circle centered on the fovea. METHODS In a case series study 71 subjects (71 eyes) with idiopathic epiretinal membrane and macular thickness greater than 220-/+10 micro m were evaluated by OCT. The fellow healthy eye of 52 patients was used as the cont...

Epiretinal membrane: optical coherence tomography-based diagnosis and classification.

Epiretinal membrane (ERM) is a disorder of the vitreomacular interface characterized by symptoms of decreased visual acuity and metamorphopsia. The diagnosis and classification of ERM has traditionally been based on clinical examination findings. However, modern optical coherence tomography (OCT) has proven to be more sensitive than clinical examination for the diagnosis of ERM. Furthermore, OC...
